  1. okayy no if you have a green card thats pretty much all you need they dont ask you for anything when you go to mexico on your way back is when they ask ou for your papers. so you dont have to worry about anything until ur coming back to the US make sure u have ur card with you and u'll be fine =]

  2. i'm a US permanent resident (foreign passport holder) and i've been to mexico so i know what i'm talking about.

no, you do not need a visa to go to mexico if you have a green card. all you need to present is your foreign passport and your green card and you're good to go.

coming back into the US, all you need to show to the immigration officer is just your green card, not the passport. that's all they care about pretty much. although of course, you would be in possession of your passport since you needed it going into mexico... and if you're flying, you definitely need a passport.

  3. you need to contact the mexican consulate to see if u need a visa stamped in your passport for entry.  (this depends on your country of citizenship, since you still hold that country's passport.)

if you are a mexican citizen, you just go with no problems.

when you get back to the united states, just show immigration your greencard and you will be okay for re-entry.

just remember that when you have a greencard, do not stay longer than 6 months out of the u.s. every year.

  4. if you are a Mexican citizen I BELIEVE YOU DON'T NEED A VISA. jUST PROVE TO THE  MEXICAN OFFICIALS THAT YOU ARE  MEXICAN WHEN YOU ARRIVE AT  A MEXICAN PORT. IF YOU ARE A CITIZEN OF A COUNTRY OTHER THAN MEXICO YOU WILL  PROBABLY NEED A VISA . A U..S. CITIZEN  DOES NOT NEED A VISA  WHEN GOING TO MEXICO .A U.S. CITIZEN AND A GREEN CARD HOLDER[ NOT A CITIZEN}  WILL NEED A PASSPORT TO RETURN TO THE U.S. IN THE CASE OF A GREEN CARD HOLDER THE PASSPORT WILL HAVE TO BE FROM THE COUNTRY WHERE HE  OR SHE ORIGINALLY CAME FROM.

  5. getting in is easy you just walk through, THATS IT!, but gettin back is when you need a passport thats it.
