Do i need a visa to travel in Europe for over 6 months?

I will not be staying in any one country for over 6 months, but i am planning to be on the continent for over 6 months....will i get deported?

  1. If you are an American citizen, you may go to the site below and click on each country you want to visit, then read the section on "Entry requirements." It will tell you how long you may stay in each country.  You need to follow the rules of each country or you will be denied entry if you try to return in the future.  Most countries allow you 60 to 90 days.


  2. Each country has different rules, but if you have a passport from a country with a visa waiver program (like the US) and are visiting multiple countries over the period, you will be fine.

  3. You have to be very careful about which countries you will be in. If they are in the schengen zone then there is a 90 day (within 180 days i think) limit across all the schengen countries.

    Go to google and enter Schengen.
