  1. yes and the outlets are different too, they're round.

    Get yourself a converter with plugs from Walmart. And they are not whacked, they are much safer and sturdier then the north american c**p.

  2. HI  S S   ,,I'm a german and live in tucson,az  when your charger say 110 - 240 volt you don't need a converter !!!! But you need for your charger another  plug because the outlet in germany is different!!! Take care  Andreas

  3. You don't need a voltage converter if your camera is saying it's dual voltage (110-240v). What you need is an adapter which will make the plug fit in the outlet. A converter is what you use when your camera is only 110v and need it to fit other outlets like 220v and etc, vice versa. Youc an get an adapter as cheap as 99cents for 2.

  4. Yes you do.Everything over there is wacked.

  5. yes you do from 110v to 220v

  6. Here in Germany we use 220 volt, so you'd have to get a converter. Probably be able to pick one up at your local Radio Shack or electronics outlet.

    update:

    Just checked the Radio Shack home page, Recoton (ADF-1650) 50/1600W Dual-Voltage Converter Kit $29.95 ;

    Converts foreign voltage (220-240V AC) to U.S. voltage (110-120V AC), For use with irons, hand-held hair dryers and bulb-type lamps, Includes 5 adapter plugs and hard case for easy storage and flexible connectivity options, Weighs less than 2 pounds for convenient portability

  7. I went to Europe a few summers ago and had to buy those things.  They aren't very expensive at all and usually have about 4 converters per bag i believe.
