  1. no you'll need an amp if you are installing subwoofer or need more

  2. It depends on what you have...if you have subwoofers or any other kind of aftermarket speakers beyond the stock setup, then the amp is recommended.  Look at the wattage for your head unit, then divide it by the number of speakers you have directly connected to the unit to find the wattage per speaker.  If there isn't enough sound and you want it louder, you'll need the amp.

  3. No you only need to buy an amp if you stick subs etc in your vehicle

  4. you only need an amplifier if you want to get better sound quality from the door speakers.

but the door speakers will work with the new headunit. there for, no amplifier is really required.

  5. no you dont unless you are installing subs with it

  6. If the aftermarket head unit has a built in amp then you won't need an external one.  Look for rating such as "50x4 watts RMS" on the box. This is the rating of the head unit's amp.

However, an external amp will provide better sound.

Also, make sure your vehicle doesn't have a factory external amp.  Some factory systems (Bose, Infinity, etc.) have an amp separate from the head unit.  When upgrading from these to aftermarket devices it may require rewiring the vehicle.
