I will be buying KICKER KS60 6.5" 260w CAR AUDIO 2 WAY SPEAKERS for my car, and i was wondering if my 50Wattx4 headunit is enough?. If not ill have to buy another amp..along with 10gauge wiring right? ive already got a 3000watt power acoustik mono amp. So is it going to be enough to power the speakers?

  1. yes that will be enough and on the wire bigger gauges isn't alway better.

  2. You don't need to amp any speakers in any car unless they are subwoofers. If you dont think that it is loud enough or you want a clearer sound get more speakers. Only amp subs.

  3. The head unit will work but you may want to upgrade later. Or not, depending on your listening habits. There is a big difference between a head unit that is rated at 50wx4(overrated) vs. an amp that is 50wx4 since there is no set standard for power ratings in the audio world. As far as the mono amp, that is for subwoofer duty only. Car amplifiers should use no less than 8awg power and ground cables.
