Canada is 99% english...so they will have no problem. as long as it is valid.

You will need an international drivers licence, or you can apply in Alberta to exchange your current licence for an Alberta licence, with some restrictions ( you will have to undergo driver's testing, medical exam, provide proof of residency, etc...). Check out this website for details:
