Do i need chemistry to be a dentist?

i am a student in dubai currently doing as level and i have taken subjects such as bio, media studies ICT and chem however i feel a strong urge to drop chem and was wondering would i need chemistry for uni in canada to pursue a future in becoming a dentist. also could anyone help me by giving any suggestions on any other careers that i could relate my other three subjects with ( bio, media studies and ICT) plz help as i am strugling on a suggestion to whether drop chem or not i am not tht gud at it.

  1. Yes, just because you are not a doctor, does not mean you will not need to take chemistry. I am stuck between to majors, RD and Vet Med, and both require chem. In my classes there are other dental majors in my classes and they will be taking the same chems as I will: Chem 1, chem 2, organic chem... If it's too hard now... well, I don't know what else to tell you but reconsider your major.


  2. Yes, of course!  If that is too much, consider being a Dental Hygienist.
