Do i need experience to get into Nursing in the UK?

Ive applied to do mental health nursing (diploma) i have the academic qualifications but im worried cause i have no experience. Will i get in or will they simply turn me away because of it? Has anyone ever gone for a nursing interview here?

The interviewer told me to volunter as I had no experience, however it took so long for the hospital to sort out that I got no exp before the course started so they let me on anyway. However I was suspended a year and a bit in for poor clinical comms! Better get some experience and volunteer now.

NO, I got accepted into nursing with no experience.  I dropped out and went to law school instead.
