Do i need id to go the isle of man?

Question

I have lost my passport and have no other photo id.we are going by ferry so would it be likely i get refused to board? Have read you need id,and also you dont so confused.thanks.x

Contrary to popular belief the Isle of Man is NOT part of the United Kingdom...though it is a Crown Dependency.  It even has it's own government called the Tynwald.  According to the site below you do not need a passport to go to the IOM but some airlines may require photo id.  As you are going by ferry you will be ok.
