I'm entering grade 12, and did not take physics. I have taken chem and bio. I am interested in a career in pathology or chiropractic, something along those lines.. i have been told that there is a physics 101 course at uni for those who didn't take it in highschool..

am i going to be screwed when it comes to applying for uni?

  1. I'm assuming that you're in the US, okay.  If you wish to become a Pathologist (a physician), you will have to take certain pre-med requisite courses which will include physics.  Even though you may not directly employ much physics in your day-to-day duties as a Pathologist, you will still need to take these courses in order to apply to medical school.  Physiology (the study of normal function of the body) requires some fundamental understanding of Physical principles.  You won't be screwed by not having taken Physics at the high school level, but you'll invariably have to take it when you begin college.

    I wish you well.

  2. I am currently studying for a masters degree in pathology.  I did not take physics in high school or in college, and I am doing just fine.  But it all depends on where you are trying to get accepted.  Each university has different policies.  Your best bet is to call the admissions office and ask them.

  3. Because you are studing dieseases, physics is not a requirement.
