im going away in november to glasgow im wanna go on a plane would i need to get a passport i wanna go from heathrow airport its will be my first flight ?

No you DO NOT need a passport to fly on a domestict FLIGHT!!!!!!!!!

however some airlines do require phtographic id.

Check with your airline.

Yup, ya do. Its worth getting one anyway, cos once you have started your gonna wanna make the best of the nice cheap flight available out there too! Its also good ID so you don't have to carry your driving licence everywhere. If you go to some countries, your expected to have a passport on you at all times. Anyway, enjoy the flight and don't forget to be at the airport early! : )
