Do i need shots in mexico?

last time i went to mexico about 15 years ago i got so sick i almost died

then short after something called palodismo have no idea what that is in engish made me lose about 25 pounds had fevers every day untill they did a blood test found out what it was

I dont know if that is still a problem there anny ne know?

  1. Palodismo is malaria. It is rare in Mexico except in remote areas near the border woth Guatemala and Belize. You should consult your doctor, he may want to start you on preventative medicine before you go.  See the 2 sites below..and read the CDCpage carefully.   .Also,  be sure you drink only bottled water and use it to brush your teeth.  Do not buy food or drinks from street vendors.    If you are going to a tourist resort area, you should be fine.  Resorts and restaurants use bottled water to serve their customers and for cooking and ice. I do hope you nave a great trip this time.
