Do i need sims 2 for sims seasons???

I just bought sims seasons and I heard you have to have sims 2.Is it true?I don't have sims 2 so do I have to buy it?I heard it's a good game I just started getting interested in sims and know almost nothing.lol

Yeah, it's true but you should get The Sims 2 Double Deluxe because it comes with the sims 2 (base game), The Sims™ 2 Nightlife Expansion Pack, and The Sims™ 2 Celebration Stuff Pack all in one. When you get the sims 2, just play the tutorials before you play with the pre-made neighborhoods and you should do fine.

Because a new EP, The Sims 2 Apartment Life is coming out you could get 4 games in one, just like the sims 2 double deluxe,  but you would get The Sims 2 Apartment Life as well. It's called The Sims 2 Apartment Life,  and I think it would be your best bet. However keep in mind this copy does not come out until Thursday, August the 28, 2008.

You absolutely do need The Sims 2.

Look on the front of the box - The words Expansion Pack or Stuff Pack on any The Sims 2 title means that in order to play it you must have a version of the core game installed.

You will need to get The Sims 2 Double Deluxe, The Sims 2 Deluxe or The Sims 2 Freetime Limited Edition (not the same as The Sims 2 Freetime Expansion Pack, but does include it along with the Nightlife Expansion Pack).

Yes. You must install The Sims 2 before installing The Sims 2 Seasons, otherwise it will not work. You cannot install any ep without installing the base game (the sims 2)

Yes, you need the Sims2 basic game. Then you can add extension packs if you want. You have to buy it. Get the Sims 2 Double Deluxe. It has extra stuff for the same price as Sims 2 by itself. TSims 2 Double Deluxe also contains The Sims 2 Nightlife Expansion Pack, The Sims 2 Celebration Stuff Pack and a bonus DVD. After you've loaded that then you can install the Seasons expansion pack.

I know Target has it.
