Do i need this for the side kick?

I just want a phone with a keyboard so i can text, i am considering the sidekick, except the sales person said that the phone will not work as good unless you have the "internet" package, is that true? I just want it mainly for texting and phone calls, buying ringtones

It is actually true. I do have a Sidekick and first you need the internet to buy the ringtones. Also, with the internet it's really a lot better. You can go into websites like Google to search. You can also email and add different accounts to your phone. You have all 3 messaging programs and you can send as many pictures as you want. If you don't have the internet you will basically be kind of bored.

The sidekick is cool. the internet package is only 20.00$ and you get aim, msn, and yahoo istant mesaging. plus unlimited internet and txt. so if you go with that package you'll be goood!! its a great deal for all the featurs it brings! go for it!!
