Do i need to add the spare amp. for my main panel board breaker

Current load - the breaker handling it

8.26A - 20A breaker

10.43A - 20A breaker

10.43A - 20A breaker

15.65A = 20A breaker

8.00A - 20A breaker

21.74A - 30A breaker

10.00A - 30A breaker

spare(estimated load around 10.43A) - 30A breaker

Load without the spare is @ 126.86A - so i should be getting a 125A main panel switch

Load with the spare is @ 158.15 - so i should be getting a 150A main panel switch

  1. Plan for future expansion and go with a 200 amp main and service, also a 200 amp panel. The difference in price is minimal and you can add the extra circuits as needed in the future,


  2. It's always best to get the biggest panel you can afford--but remember that you're assuming that everything is "hot" all the time, which it usually is not.

  3. i don't believe you can buy a 150a main panel. but you can fuse a 200a disconnect at 150a to feed a 225a main lug panel.   panel sizes are 100a main breaker,125a main lug,200a main breaker,225a main lug,disconnects will be 30a,60a,100a,and i will stop at 200a,they come in fused and non-fused.fuses come in a lot of different styles ,shapes,amp ratings,voltage ratings etc.i know all this but i have no idea what your asking.how can something be a spare but also have a estimated load.
