  1. No, you don't need to buy adapter! just break the ground off. Concern about safety? then don't go to VN.

  2. look at ur charger...see if it can handle 210v....all of my electronic stuff convert 210v to 110

  3. The best choice is to buy a socket adaptor. This choice is not only for going to VN but also any country in the world.

  4. To be on the safe side, you should. But last summer when I was there, I brought my panasonic camcorder along with other electronics and they were all able to plug directly into the outlets there without any adaptors.

  5. Please check the link below. That is kind of plug using in VN

Some electronic devices can use from 100V - 240V ( ex: laptop). Make sure your Sony camera has this function. If it is not, you will be able to purchase voltage convert in VN or in US. Check at Radio shack.

    Have a good time.

  6. yes...if your plugin does not has the ground pin.  VN doesn't use ground just the two pins.  Otherwise you do need to.  However make sure that your charger is able to handle the 220V.

  7. You don't need any adapters here. Vietnam is using the 2 pin infrastructure. Furthermore, you should notice that AC power in Vietnam is 220V. You should pick device which can use in the range from 110V~220V

  8. On the safe side we take an adapter with us when we go to Vietnam or when we go to Europe.  Some camera chargers will take the 220 and some wont.  Have a great time.  C
