Yes.  Even if the school district didn't require it, there are so many college graduates out there with degrees which would help them be able to help students with their literature choices better, that you wouldn't be able to compete without one.

Yes. You'll need a degree in library science, and, depending on how high the standards are at the school, possibly a degree in English-Secondary Education or in Elementary Education.

Definitely.  Many school districts require that you have a master's degree in library science.  Being a school librarian is essentially a teaching position as well as working and managing the media.  You must create and administer lesson plans for various age groups, and keep grades!!
