  1. If you feel that your weight is impacting your life negatively, then you may want to tone down a bit. But from your question, it appears that you are active, and having excess weight hasn't slowed you down in that respect, so if you feel okay with the way YOU look, then my best advice is to just try and eat healthy, and stay active.

If you only want to lose weight because of the way the other girls look, then thats the wrong reason for wanting to lose weight. We gals drive ourselves nuts by always striving to look like the girls in magazines, or other people who we know that were born with perfect bodies, and haven't had to work to get them.

If you find that your excess weight/belly is impacting your performance on your volleyball team, then you may want to consider losing a bit. But if it isn't negatively affecting your life in any way, other than wanting to "look like the girls in the locker room", and you are healthy, then my advice is to stop comparing yourself to other women.

I was always jealous of the short, stick thin girls in school too. I was 6 ft tall by the time I was in 9th grade, and curvy, but not fat, and I had a 38DD bra size. I felt ginormous and awkward. High school guys didn't pay me much mind, other than staring at my chest. But as soon as I got out of high school, I can tell you, i took more than my share of men away from the stick thin, flat chested girls, and I still do. So a flat belly only goes so far. ;-)

  2. do sit ups and cardio if you feel "fat"... or fatter than other girls.  Some women have a little pouch of fat and there is nothing we can do about it :-(  like me... I am only a size 2 - 4 and I have a pouch there on my lower belly.  People used to make fun of me when I wore a bathing suit, but now I simply DON'T CARE! :-)

  3. Why let it bother you?  Does it slow you down or interfere with your playing ability?  If not, don't worry about it.  I'm sure no one else does.

  4. You don't need to lose weight but you probably need to tone up. There are 200 lb. pro volleyball players. It doesn't go by your weight but by your muscle and if it's not affecting you as a player then it doesnt matter. its not a big deal
