  1. My mouth, jaw, and teeth are small as well.  However, they did not remove any teeth.  It depends entirely on your own condition and what the orthodontist would believe would help your outcome become better.  Unless there is entirely no space at all [which I highly doubt], the orthodontist supposedly does not have to remove anything.

    Good luck!!

I hope this helped a bit.

  2. It is common to have teeth extracted before braces but not always the case. Usually teeth are removed if there is a lot of crowding to allow room for the teeth to unravel. The teeth removed are usually a bicuspid (pre-molar) on each side. By the time you are done with treatment you will not be able to tell you are missing teeth.

  3. nope you get an expander i have top and bottom. go to youtube and search "getting my braces" and click the first three, they explain it all.

  4. Unless you have an impacted tooth I see no reason. I also have a small mouth. Before I got braces they had to pull a impacted tooth ( thats a tooth that has no room to come out so it stays lodged inside the gum or comes out at an awkward spot or angle).

  5. why would they remove teeth. the only teeth that need to be removed before braces are baby teeth and impacted teeth. otherwise you get to keep all you pearly whites

  6. yupp. 2 back teeth
