Do i need to study design to work in the fashion industry?

i'm picking my subjects for year 11 next year, and i'm seriously considering doing textiles and design. I want to work in the fashion industry when i leave school, but not as a designer. I want to work in the business side of it (e.g. marketing, managing).

i'm hoping to study design in fashion and texiles at university. It focuses a lot on design, but also a lot on the business side of it. It says its not just for designers, but for people who want to work in the industry.

Although I wish i was, i'm not very good designing. however i LOVE fashion, and can't see myself working in any other area. do you think this is the right way to go at it? or am i better off doing a plain business degree?

(by the way, I'm also taking business studies and economics for my HSC.)

Honestly, do you think these designers nowadays STUDY?  They barely passed grade 10 at a sixth grade level!

Good for you!! Yes why not take a fashion class, that way you can see what goes into it all. It will make you well rounded in different areas.. Save all the business courses for college. ENjoy a highschool fashion class!!
