Do i need to take a coat with me to amsterdam holland?

im flying next week to amsterdam and i saw on the weather forecast that it is currently half raining half sunny there..

do i need to take a coat and or a pair of boots with me to there?

  1. My advice would be take a raincoat and a vest/sweater so you can combine. In this way you are prepared for all kinds of weather and changing temperatures. Want to have a look at the weather and current rain: http://www.buienradar.nl/

  2. Boots are not necessary (so long as you have a decent pair of shoes), but a rain jacket most definately.  It has rained off and on every day for the last week.

    One minute it looks great outside (sunny) and then as I did today, you step outside without a jacket (as despite the rain it is not really cold) or umbrella (as it is rainy but not windy currently), and ..... yep the heavens decide to open at that same minute resulting in you getting very soggy by the time you reach where you need to go!

  3. Cool, rainy weather is common in northern Europe during summer. Take a light jacket that is at least semi water resistant and a folding umbrella.  Take boots if you plan lots of outdoor activities off the pavement.
