  1. If you don't have a passport, you will have to undergo secondary inspection. You MUST have birth certificate and a recognized picture ID.

  2. This depends on if you are traveling by land or air.  If you are flying, the passports have been required since January of this year, and you MUST have them.  If you are traveling  by land, January 31, 2008 will require either the WHTI document, passport, or government issued ID such as Driver's License, and proof of US citizenship (your birth certificate works).

You can visit www.travel.state.gov for more information including their phone number for passport and travel issues.

  3. If you FLY to and from Mexico , You MUST hae a passport.  If you travel by LAND or SEA, you do NOT need a passport until after summer of 2008.  See website below and read the top half of  the page carefully to see the CURRENT info.

  4. are you traveling on air land water it all depends but I would buy it just in case you never know what this world will bring your way.
