A 420 is a much bigger boat with a jib made for two people. The laser is a one man boat and a smaller boat and a lot narrower making it essayer to fall out.

If you like sailing with some one I would pick a 420. but if you like falling out and getting wet I would pick a laser.

I sail a laser but 420 are just as fun.
