  12. EDIT:  I'm not sure what you are getting at when you say you have blonde hair and are a white girl that lives in San Diego.  If you are saying that you have a greencard and are not a naturalized U.S. citiizen, then you need to see if you can become a naturalized U.S. citizen.  http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/m...

If you can't become a naturalized U.S. citizen, then you need a passport from your country of origin.

It hasn't been determined yet as to when passports will be required.  As of now, all you need is a government issued I.D. (such as your driver's license).  Come January 31, you will need both a government issued I.D. (such as your drivers license) and your birth certificate.  http://travel.state.gov/travel/cbpmc/cbp...

If you fly, you need a passport now.  If you are a legal U.S. resident, then you will need your passport from the country from which you were born.

Based on the prior questions you have asked, you have indicated you are a minor.  That means you a notarized letter from both of your parents (as long as both are alive).  If only one is alive, then you'll need a notarized letter from the parent who is alive and court documents to prove the one parent has sole custody of you.

  13. A few years ago you wouldn't have to but know you do

  14. Not just papers but a passport now.  Maybe one day we will actually secure our borders but at least now it is a little tighter.

  15. You need a passport, not to get into Mexico, but to get back into the US.

  16. I work for a Passport agency, if you are going out of the United States to anywhere, you NEED a passport.  It is required starting this month.  That is to Mexico and Canada.  Especially if going by air.  Again, REQUIRED!

  17. Yep, now u do, especially if u wanna come back!

  18. legally, yes

  19. You'll need them if you want to come back.

  20. Yes,

You will need some form of identification.

It would be best to have ID with you whenever you are out of the US.

You may not need a passport to cross yet but they are getting in the habit of asking for it.

So it is easier to avoid the verbal advisory (lecture) and be able to produce it.

    Other than that Have Fun

And don’t do anything too stupid. -lol

  21. Yes, a passport is now required for crossing the border in both Mexico and Canada, walking or not.

  22. You need them to get back.
