Do i tell my mom about him?

ok so im a teenage girl but im not really that close to my mom. like i barely ever talk to her idk y i guess im just "daddys little girl" idk we just never talk. i mean i dont even hug my mom or anything i no it sounds werid buti just dont anyway this guy just asked me out and i said yes...i was jw...do i tell her? i mean would it be awkward since we're not close cause i see all my friends with their moms and they tell eachother everything and thr moms r kwl about it. mine isnt. mine wont let me forget about it shes like omg u hav a bf?? aww how sweet so how long have yall been together im like mom?! but yh anyway do i tell her? plz try to understand we're not close so it would be kinda hard but i was to no thanks to anyone who answers!!
