Do i tip when making reservations?

i made reservations and i was wondering if i am supposed to tip for making the reservations.

I think it's only appropriate to tip a reservationist when they've made arrangements to get you in at a difficult time and last minute. Say they put you on top of a waitlist ahead of folks who were put on it before of you. They normally have to go through the list. If the waitlisted guests were bypassed to accomodate you, then slip the host maybe $10. Or if you make a reservation wanting a different time (you want 7:30 but only 9:30 is open, so you book it) and they get you in at your desired time. I think then, it's nice to reciprocate. They could have just left you at 9:30 and brought someone else in for the 7:30 slot.

Aside from that, it's not necessary to tip a reservationist.
