  1. What the h**l robyn

  2. They melt if the air surrounding them is warmer

  3. when water (and so other things in the world) is hot, it means the water particles have a lot of heat (energy) to move very quickly.

when the water is cold, it means the water particles don't move as quick as hot water particles

if the water reaches specific temperature (0'Celcius), it means it's pretty cold not to move at all, which makes it "freeze".

so, basically ice cubes are just a block of water particles that don't move at all

if you heat the ice cubes, it means you give the water particles energy to move. when they start to move, those tiny water particles form the fluid water that you see everyday.

    hope you understand this :p

*think about stacking wood blocks, if they all can move, you won't be able to form a solid stack of wood blocks. imagine this in a waaaay smaller scale.
