...also to answer this question, I am not inadequate in any way, shape or form. I have a loving boyfriend, a wonderful career, amazing friends...basically, my life is awesome. It sucks that yours isn't as awesome, as you feel the need to post demeaning questions, but there's therapy for that.

In large measure, yes.  Modern Feminism is a self-affirming philosophy for many whom find this to enhance their sense of self-worth (regrettably it's at the expense of men and those who disagree with this hateful philosophy).

Women died giving you the right to vote - and millions have campaigned to give you equal pay.

As a guy who grew up in the 80's believing all the feminist hype that women are equal to men - you can imagine how disappointed I was to learn that in the real world it was all bullsh*t and that most women go silly at the sight of babies, puppies and flowers.

It's not just feminists that are inadequate. All women are. For god's sakes, go back to having babies and stop pretending you can understand intelligent debate.

I guarantee no woman would be a feminist if she grew up feeling like her parents love her, she loves herself and in her relationships with men she felt valued and respected.

Do people, on any side of the issue, become more hard-line because of the rigorous attacks and attitude found here, forcing them to feel defensive about issues they normally would not have to defend at all.

In my daily life over the years, I never ran into people with such an unloving attitude towards others or was in a situation where there was so much hatred between the sexes.
