Question:

Do industrial plants divert rain?

I live very near large industrial plants that put a tremendous amount of steam into the atmosphere. We have also not had any rain in a very long time. Every place around us gets rain regularly while we stay in a drought. Is it possible for the steam being poured into the sky could cause or effect this phenomenon?

  1. Industrialization is known to alter climate on a small scale. What you are dealing with is a unique microclimotological scenario. I don't know with any certainty why this occurs, but it does. Many industrialized areas around the world are experiencing decreased rainfall rates.
