Do insects feel pain??

My husband and I are in an arguement about this. Do insects feel pain when getting hurt? He says he thinks a lot of them dont have a nervous system so they cant feel pain. I thought they do. Anyone know?? Thanks!

  1. yes. even grasshoppers have a nervous system, although not as complicated as ours obviously.


  2. yes they can feel pain just like you and me your husband is crazy

  3. No they do not feel pain for they have no nerves. Their bodies are not that complex. Sorry but it looks like you lost this argument. =)
