I am flying business class on Air France from Dulles (IAD) to Paris (CDG) and then to Tel Aviv (TLV) and I want to know how kosher meals are served and what quality. Who caters the kosher meals out of Dulles?

  1. hi there..

i think all u need to do is just ask them..usually full service airline is more accomodative.

  2. Usually Kosher meals are not served on real china since it would bring into question whether it's been used before. I have seen real silverware on kosher meal trays but there's a little note saying that they are new from the factory.

I'm a former F/A and I used to work Dulles flights. I can't remember who caters the kosher meals but perhaps you can contact the airline. A local Chabad house or JCC maybe could help you too, based in the D.C. area.

You can't choose between companies. Whomever they use, that's it although sometimes you can select beef, chicken or fish.

  3. you should check their websites

and I'm probably sure they do, but you will have to call I think about 48 hours before your flight to request your special meal

  4. You must make the request at the time of reservation.

Most airlines (both in economy/coach class and in Business/first class) serve kosher, hallal, gluten free, vegetarian meals, etc... but only on request.

  5. I would ask the airline!
