  1. Depending on the kind of island, yes and no.

    Sand islands in a sea with a current will move quite a bit, a rock island in a lake will not move at all.

    One example of moving islands are the Frisian islands, of the Netherlands, Germany and Denmark.

    On one of the islands they build a lighthouse on the eastern end and now it is on the westernmost tip of the island.
