Do-it-Yourself Magnetic wall??

I would like to put a magnetic wall in my room. In my old house, I had a wall that I bought the paint for. However; I just want this to be a temporary do-it-yourself project. Is there a thin piece of metal I could hang up or what are some ideas??

Since you are familiar with the magnetic paint, you could paint a sheet of thin hardboard (sometimes called masonite) and attach that to the wall by s******g into the studs or using fasteners made for hollow walls then just fill the holes when you move.  (I am assuming you live near a building materials or home improvement store and that you have hollow, sheetrock walls that are typical in the US.)  You could also glue it on with contact or construction adhesive, but that would be hard to remove.  A 4 foot by 8 foot sheet of 1/8" thick tempered hardboard at my nearby Home Depot costs about $6.50

For more flexibility you could use sheets of pegboard ($11.50 at my Home Depot) and then you would have both a magnetic surface and a pegboard surface for which you can get hooks and accessories to hang things from.

You can also buy sheet metal (Google "sheet metal" in your local area for suppliers) and attach it to your wall with screws in the same way as the wood sheet.  If you get the sheet metal you should have them roll or bend the edges over so that you don't have sharp edges to worry about getting cut by when you install it.
