  1. Yup. Any green pepper left on the plant long enough will turn red as it ripens. I do not know what color yellow peppers turn if left on the plant. But white peppers turn orange.

  2. Yes,in fact I have a couple of red ones on my plant right now.I think that about any pepper will turn red if left on the plant long enough.I have had yellow bananna peppers turn ren when left unpicked for too long.

  3. yes and it does not mean that it is hotter then the others either. The flavor will be a bit more bitter as the pepper has been left i short time to long.. But when cooked to bitterness will subside a bit and not be noticable.

  4. yes

  5. Yes they all turn red if left on the plant (jalapenos don't grow on vines...)  In my personal gardening experience it is true that red jalapenos are hotter.  Not all jalapenos are the same though.  There are lots of varieties out there.

  6. If you keep letting them turn red on the plant ..it tells the plant it has successfully reproduced..and shut down further production on the rest of the peppers..It is best to pick them either green or if you want red ones..pick them when they start to get blacklish looking colors on then and pick and let set(not in the direct sun or windowsill) but in a shaded semi warm place..they will turn red then without shutting down your plant

  7. Mature ones do. They taste fine too.

  8. Left on the plant long enough, they will. If only one turns red when the others are still green it's probably because a bug of some sort has taken up residence in it.
