Do jocks and nerds still do battle?

Question

Just a curious question randomly on my mind. Are there any clearly defined jocks vs nerds groups in schools anymore? Or does everyone seem to just fall in between? Or are there bigger groups at battle here?

They are there of course, but they tend to stay far away from each other. The nerds would win at my old school because they are much more intelligent...unless the jocks got to them first.
