Do judgements ever come of your credit report? How long does it take, if it does?

  1. They don't take 7 years, thats a bankruptcy, judgments will stay on your report until

    1.  you pay it off and request the company remove the judgment

    2.  If it is a tax judgment & Paid they will list on the report when it will come off

    3.  If it is never paid then consider it permanent or 10 years

    Bankruptcies stay on your report for 10 years.

    Judgments stay on for 7 years, regardless if paid or not.

    Please do your research and read the Fair Credit Reporting Act, unless you like me constantly point out and correcting your poor answers.

  3. 7 years on report, unless they are bought by another company, which can illegally keep posting to your report after 7 yrs. Its up to the consumer to keep track of their credit report accuracies.
