  1. nope, unless they take you for a seal..... but they usually hunt for seals in the shores, so they would leave sufers alone


  2. You must understand that from below a surfboard with 2 arms and 2 legs sticking out LOOKS ALOT LIKE A LARGE SEAL OR WALRUS!  Its just a natural mistake for them or a shark.

  3. Only if they are feeding or ur in they're territory and if they feel threatined. But they eat seals.

  6. i dont think they do cause i am a surfer. i have been very close to them. it may have just been my luck that day or something, but i am pretty sure that they are completly harmless.

  7. No, they don't swim that close to the shore.  But if they do, they end-up on the beach.

  10. I don't recall any documentation or report of any such event, but they do rule the ocean so hey it could happen, but not likely.
