Question:

Do kittens eyes ALWAYS open on the 10th day?

I have a litter of 9 day old kittens- born Aug 5th. No sign of eye's opening (no slitting or anything) and several people have said that they should be open 'by the 10th day'..is this always the case, or do they vary? Should i expect their eyes to open tomorrow, or more like 'begin' to open! Or would it be quite acceptabel for it to take a few more days? thanks

  1. Good question. Yes: it would be perfectly acceptable for them to be delayed a while. Especially if there are many kittens. I wouldn't count on them opening tomorrow if there's no splitting: but God works miracles every day! :) so don't worry and enjoy them!

  2. No... no hard and fast rule on this...

    some open early/ some late
