Do kittens f**t? My kitten . .?

Question

My kitten is starting to smell really gross sometimes just when hes very comfortable and hardly sleeping or playing with something the room smells like a f**t then it goes away in like 1 minute. Whats a good way to make him start farting? Without Medication. Or vet. Just a house way too. Please and thank you guys for answering. =D

My kitten was exactly the same! It takes a while for them to get used to proper food after being on their mother's milk. You can avoid it by feeding him the same food every day. It will take time but either he will stop, or you'll get used to it. lol good luck.

most of the time, when kittens have gas, it's because of their diet. either they are transitioning to a new food or they are eating one which isn't very high quality.

if this is a new kitten (and it's food has been changed since it's last place) or one who is just starting to eat solid food, then i'd give it some more time. it should work itself out in due course.

if this is an older kitten (12 wks +), then i'd look at what food he's eating. he may need something a bit more nutritionally sound than he's been getting. innova evo is a good one, as is wellness. remember, you are what you eat...so if your kitty is fed junk, then it's body will be that way too. switch his food over slowly, adding a bit more to the regular food each day while taking a bit more of that out of the mix each day. by about a week, he should be switched to a new food, with few digestive upsets having occurred in the meantime.

hahaha,yes,every animal farts,thou most of them got no butt cheeks to do the sound,hahaha,once my cat just kicked my brother in the face with one before we put him out in the backyard.mayeb the food you give him could help,something specialized for his race

It might be the type of food you are feeding him. It could also be his anal glands, which can be a problem with older cats. If it continues, I would take him to the vet and have him checked out.

lol my dog farts and yeahh they arent the greatest to smell..

anyways i dont think there is a way to make them stop but who knows plus its just a thing that everyone and everything does

If you're feeding him canned food that can be the problem.

You may need to adjust on how much canned cat food you give him.

I have one that does well with hard food but, you give him too much canned food, it's gas city all the way!!!!!  Some time's you smell it and some time's it's silent but deadly, killer!!!!!

You may need to change to a hard food, maybe different brand if using hard food already and use canned food as a treat.  Using canned food as a treat it's pretty much a once in a while thing and it's using only an 1/8 or a 1/4 slice of food out of the can.

Everyone farts.... the poor little fella is relaxed and just doing what nature intended!!! But if you find a way to stop him, let me know because I'd be keen to try it on my husband! :D
