Do laptops emitt radiation? And if so, is it harmful after prolonged periods of exposure?

If I were to sit my laptop ontop of my lap for many hours a day for a few years, would radiation from the laptop harm me?

Bright light is radiation . But it is harmless. Or you can use tainted glasses.

They almost certainly do emit radiation, although not a huge amount. If your laptop has wireless internet or bluetooth, then it definitely emits radiation.

Is it harmful? Probably not, but no one really knows.

If you sit with a laptop on your lap all the time, you might go sterile. That's because of the heat from the laptop warming your testes, though; it has nothing to do with radiation.

There's been lots of studies trying to assess the risk of exposure to RF range radiation and to date non has conclusively shown there to be a health risk involved in such exposure.
