GE builds nuke power plants, the biggest problem with the technology is waste. Ten years after the planned openning of Yuca Mountain in Nevada, tests are still being performed.

This unused nuke storage facility has already cost

$7,000,000,000.00... we should remember this when when talking about the altenatives to fossil fuels and fantasies about building new nuke power plants

1.4 million homes could have gone solar with the help of a $5,000.00 rebate, that would cover about 30% of the install cost and make it cheaper than power from coal plants...

  1. GE operates Nuclear power plants which produce no green house gases.  The yearly waste from a nuclear power plant would fit under your desk.

Power generation contributes 50% of all ghg's in this country.  Nuclear power is a needed solution.

Nuclear power is generating steam with a hot rock.  People shouldn't fear modern technology.

Solar isn't the answer.  That's why you are not powering your home with it.

  2. I agree.

  3. To put it mildly.

  4. Somebody has to.....

  5. In order to make your case you will have to state what is  the cost per kilowatt of nuclear power produce vs solar electric power.  Without it, one can not say if your idea is good or not.

  6. It is a significant possibility.  Our government is built with a system of checks and balances to keep any one person or group from having too much power.  Corporations on the other hand have nothing but other corporations and lesislation proposed by Democrats to keep them at bay.  On the other hand corporations would fall if the people decided it.  That's the nice thing about supply and demand.

  7. good

  8. No. The Federal government does though.

  9. A $5,000 rebate?  And where does this $5,000 come from?

Does your "live and let live" attitude mean you are going to tax ME to subsidize YOUR solar panels?  How about asking ME first?
