Do lighter or darker colors make your room look bigger? please help!

I need to knwo wich colors will make my room look bigger dark or lighteer. !

Well in my opion, If you decide to use a solid colour,

such as black or white

they would both make your room look bigger but if you decide to use a pattern go with a mix of both light and dark colours so then it would look like they are far back when you look at the wall when its really just beside you. its a cool effect!
