Do like having a homeowners ***. ?

Just wondering what people think of homeowners association..(i'm looking into a neighborhood that has one and i'm really IFfy about it) Just want to hear what you guys think of it

I really wish i didn't have one.  It is true that they make an effort to keep junk cars off front lawns and weeds from the front yards.  That has some value.  My problem is that anything built since 1985 has one.  So i better get used to it.  Welcome to the club.

I think some can be very intrusive while others can be a good thing.  Maybe you can contact some people in the association and ask them how it's working there.

Have one, love it.

I pay about 115 a month.  But the community looks great 100% of the time.  There are 7 pools, tennis, rec centers, etc.

A well managed HOA is great.  A HOA that doesn't care is a waste of money.

The best way to determine how good the HOA works is to drive thru the community on ANY day and see if the community looks well kept.  See if the houses are well kept and listening to the rules.

If not, it's a waste of money.
