Do lions usually hunt people to eat them?

I thought they lived far from people and only killed people who came neer them and usually only ate people if they were famished.

Nope not true at all. They only kill people to protect the other lions.

humans are slow if they are in sight  and your alone they will kill you

from what the so called white hunters did to them i think they are justified to kill us when they have a chance

There are rogue lions that do, most avoid people. There was a movie a few years back  "The Ghost and the Darkness" about some man-eaters. ( It was pretty bad)

Yea you are right. They don't hunt people to eat them but if you encounter them they will probably attack you and when a lion attacks you, you probably end up dying. I don't think they eat people only if they are famished. They eat people if they come up to them or if they do something to tick it off so i'd advice everyone to stay away from them. lol but i know that all of you know that by now. =)

I do not think that the people who have answered here have lived in Africa

On the Mozambique border into Kruger park ,lions regularly kill and eat people who cross the border illegally ,and have done so for many years.

In Ghana and other poor central African countries ,the people have poached all of the game ,which used to be the lions prey.

And the lions now eat people because it is the only game around ,and it is too easy to catch.

But still the biggest killer of Humans is the hippo ,who is very aggressive, in their shrinking habitats

lions hunt humans either when they are hungry or when they are afraid of us. if you' ve disturbed a lion at that situation too the lion attacks you.

No they don't, like any other wild animal they tend to shy away from humans, but are protective of their territory.

Where did you get the idea that they intentionally hunt people to eat them? No, they do not. Your thoughts are right. They will harm you if you are interfering with them in any way. Just respect the beautiful animal.
