Do little kids like people that look good better?

Theres this summer program for little kids at my school and I'm one of the volunteers. All of the little kids always want to be my partner or sit on my lap and stuff like that. The people at my schools always like "Thats not fair! They only like you because youre pretty!" But do kids really care about how you look??

Yes, Children are attracted to pretty people. Instinctively children associate prettiness with kindness and fun people.

However, please don't let other people run you down. When they tell you the kids only come over to you because you are pretty, tell them "They may come over because I'm pretty but they stay because they like me once they are here!" Then smile, because it is true.

Little kids don't care. When they get to about 10ish I think they notice. But i don't think being attractive matters untell puberty. :) But tv is changing that I guess. My 11 year old brother thinks jessica simpson is hot. So, I don't know?

It depends how old they are, but generally, yes, they do. Studies have shown that little kids (about 3-5 years old) feel that prettier people are nicer and safer. It's also shaped by what they see on TV and possibly what they hear from their parents.

You also probably have a very open demeanor and kids can tell that you enjoy being around them and aren't shy or awkward with them, so they'll gravitate towards you, too.

Well, kind of. Its more like little kids admire and want to be around pretty people, especially girls. I'm still relatively young (just turned fourteen) and I remember the feeling. But they won't discriminate against you if your funny looking at all, as long as your sweet to them. Around the age of ten is when that sets in lol. But aww, I love little kids too. I can't wait to have my own :-)

from what happened to you i guess that little kids like pretty people. Or probaby its like this: since your pretty you are most likley to be popular and when your are popular you have alot of friends and probably they see pretty popular kids as the best and if they hang out with you or be your friend they will be popular.
