Do macbooks have progressive scan displays or interlaced scan?

  1. I think you are referring to Analog CRT's which WERE available interlaced at high refresh rates because of cost.

    Digital LCD screens only operate at 1/2 the power cycle rate. BUT! They - LCD's - now come in 60hz rate. These are NOT interlaced like the old days. They only refresh 1/2 the time.

    To prove this just photograph a CRT and if it is running as a display and NOT a monitor it will have dark bars. Photograph a LCD and you should see a solid screen.


  2. There hasn't been a computer monitor with interlaced scan in 15 years.
