Do magazines set too high of a standard for guys?

In the magazines are the guys have no pimples, are muscular and have abs with a tan and all are like for sure above 6'0 and have an awesome bone structure. I'm pretty lean and cut cause I swim and play baseball. But I have pimples scars on my face and am only 5'10. And I'm scared what will happen If I ask a girl out... Girls will think I'm a loser. What should I do? I can't match up with the models in posters...

  1. Yes I think they do

They hardly ever show "normal guys" like you because they consentrate more on "models"

Which is pretty much why all the girls in the magazines are skinny and "perfect"

Don't worry about what a girl will think if you ask her out. Most of us like guys for who they are not what they do or what they look like. GIRLS Won't think your a loser trust me.

Don't worry about catching up with guys in posters they where tones of makeup.... lol

=) be yourself that is what girls are into

  2. quoi un test aujord'h*i?

  3. know girst  that these pics are always airbrushed you are fine normal that beats fake airbrushed guy any day

  4. From where I'm standing, girls are treated just the same way. They are all leaning towards masculine and super-charming guys & thin girls. But don't let all those magazines' ideal portrayal of beauty get you. I think you look just fine. Don't worry about your body. ;) Those models... you know they are made to look that way. Make-ups and wardrobe are the things that transform them into 'perfect' ppl. They look ordinary in real life. Everybody's beautiful in their own way.
