My male cat keeps peeing everywhere, and we've gave him 3 bottles for urinary tract infection. My mom is getting mad, but I also know that it can still come back. He used to pee blood, now its just normal. Help?

  1. Did this cat start spraying before being neutered? If so, it will almost be impossible to break the habit. If he started after neutering and started do to an infection, you may be able to get him back to his old self but it too will be quite difficult. You will need to watch him like a hawk. When he starts to back up to something, have your squirt bottle ready, lift that tail and squirt. If you catch him enough times he will associate his squirting with getting squirted, Good luck,

Make sure every bit of odor is removed from the areas he used.

  2. Yes, I have a male 8 years old and fixed and he marks occasionally but thankfully it does not smell.

He could have another problem, he needs to see a vet

  3. they will continue to mark their territory. either another cat is peeing there, or he feels threatened or is overly dominant. You can try a cat repellant (found at places like Petco/smart) you can't smell the spray, but it will discourage the cat from using that spot

  4. Yes. They mark it no matter what. Usually it's cos other cats are peeing there too.

  5. They will if they're stressed out. Try to keep to his routine as much as possible(feed at the same times everyday), play w/ him & love on him as much as possible. Cats can sense our stress, too, so if your mom gets mad at him, he may start marking again. Male cats can also get an inflammation in their urethra called cystitis, that will make them pee a lot. Make sure he has fresh water in a clean bowl everyday. You also may want to add some canned food to his diet for the moisture, and keep his litter box cleaned out everyday. All of these things will add up to a happy kitty.

  6. You should probably take him to the vet. They'll find out the problem and give him some meds.

  7. they usually will not mark if they are fixed at a young age. ( before 6-8 months).   after that if they already have been marking for a while, usually its habit now and its hard to break.

  8. My cat just got desexed and it never Peed everywhere, but he is only 6 months old. The best thing to do is call your vet
