I just noticed, I don't think I've seen one except on Caucasian folks. Or is it more common?

  1. It's certainly rare.  I suspect it is part of the genetic adaptation to China's cold and windy winters.

This adaptation minimizes bodily surface area (and thus heat loss), leading to flatter faces, broad noses, epicanthic eye folds (to protect the eyeball), and short, stocky limbs, which are the genetic trademarks of East Asians.
