Do many people still get silver(amalgam) fillings..?

I recently needed a small filling on a molar and my dentist suggested a white filling...but I think they're overpriced. Amalgam may not be the least conspicuous but they're cheap and reliable, so that's what I opted for.

they are effectively bribing the naive and the stupid people into still getting these fillings !!!!!  You would have to be the village idiot to let a dentist put mercuy in your mouth but unfortunately all you tightarse dimwits think your doing yourselves a favour dont complain when you have mercury poisoning because the ada wont want to know you and your dentist will be too busy out on the golf course!!!!!
